Three people have filed applications for appointment to the opening on the Onalaska Town Board: former board member Frank Fogel, Hubert Hoffman and Francis Brown.
The board is looking for a replacement for Jeff Henessee, who won re-election last spring after being appointed to the board the previous spring to fill the seat vacated when Stan Hauser was elected town chairman.
Henessee notified Hauser Aug. 4 that he had taken a new job that would involve traveling and would interfere with attendance at town board meetings.
The town is accepting applications to replace Henessee as Supervisor 3 on the board. Candidates must be town residents and should submit a letter of interest and qualifications to Town of Onalaska, W7052 Second Street, Onalaska, WI. 54650 or by e-mail to townofonalaska@charter.net.
Deadline for applicants for the town board opening is Aug. 22.
