Monday, Aug. 4
9 a.m. A 52-year-old female employee of the Onalaska American Legion was investigated for forging a check made out to the Onalaska American Legion. She allegedly altered the check to reflect her name in the “pay to” line and had cashed the check herself.
7:28 p.m. A 74-year-old woman died on the 1300 block of Pinecrest Lane. A “do not resuscitate” order was located on the refrigerator door and no attempts to revive her were made.
Tuesday, Aug. 5
8:30 a.m. A 37-year-old Onalaska man reported his credit card was being fraudulently used for purchases of over $400 in Georgia, although he had the credit card in his possession.
11:20 a.m. An 11-year-old boy was taken to the Juvenile Detention Center for disorderly conduct after an incident with his parents where he was hitting and threatening his mother and stepfather at their home on the W3800 block of Highland Drive.
8:34 p.m. Police investigated a report from St. Paul’s Church that someone had vandalized the church by painting graffiti on a wall of the church, covering it with black and red spray paint.
Wednesday, Aug. 6
1:35 p.m. A 51-year-old man reported someone had broken into his father’s motor home and had broken out the rear window of another vehicle on the 1000 block of Second Avenue South.
3:54 p.m. A home on the 1300 block of Highway SS was broken into while the owner was out of town. Someone had broken into the house by breaking a bedroom window and several items were stolen from the house.
7:24 p.m. A 22-year-old woman reported someone had stolen her bicycle from her garage on the 1400 block of Franklin Street.
7:43 p.m. An 11-year-old girl reported her bike had been stolen from the bike rack at Northern Hills Elementary.
9:23 p.m. Someone spraypainted the concession stands at the Onalaska School District property on Riders Club Road.
10:02 p.m. Someone spraypainted graffiti on the overhead door of the Lions Club Shelter on the 400 block of Main Street.
Thursday, Aug. 7
4:17 p.m. A 54-year-old West Salem man was arrested for retail theft after taking a lawn mower from Farm and Fleet and not paying for it. He was unhappy with his current mower, had taken it to the store for repair but was told there was nothing wrong with it. Instead of claiming his mower from the repair shop, he took one from the floor of the store and started to leave with it, but was stopped.
Friday, Aug. 8
10:20 a.m. A 60-year-old woman reported someone shot a hole in a back window of her home on the 900 block of 10th Avenue North while she was a way on vacation.
5:50 p.m. A man reported his daughter’s bicycle stolen from the bike rack at Northern Hills Elementary.
Saturday, Aug. 9
12:02 a.m. Someone placed a bottle rocket inside a vehicle parked on the 500 block of 21st Avenue South. The bottle rocket burned a hole in the passenger side front seat.
6:50 a.m. A 52-year-old woman reported someone broke a window of her car sometime overnight while it was parked on the 300 block of Second Avenue South.
12:03 p.m. A 14-year-old boy reported his bicycle was stolen overnight while he stayed with a friend on the 2200 block of Quarry Lane. The bike was valued at about $200.
6:01 p.m.- A 25-year-old man reported someone stole two fishing rods off his front porch on the 300 block of Third Avenue North.
6:38 p.m. A 65-year-old man reported someone had placed fecal matter in his mailbox on the 2000 block of Craig Lane East and the mail in the box was covered in fecal matter.
10:40 p.m. A 33-year-old man was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct and criminal damage to property in relation to a domestic incident on the 500 block of 21st Avenue South.

Monday, Aug. 4
10:56 a.m. A woman reported that sometime overnight on July 30-31 someone slashed one of the tires on her vehicle while it was parked on the 1700 block of Viking Avenue.
11:56 a.m. A 21-year-old man reported someone stole more than $2,500 worth of items from his vehicle while it was parked on the 3500 block of Highway 35.
1:13 p.m. Police assisted a woman who was having a diabetic reaction on the 900 block of Linden Drive .
Tuesday, Aug. 5
4:15 p.m. Police assisted with a pickup truck on fire on the N7500 block of Highway HD. The vehicle belonged to a person from Hillsboro, Wis.
8:01 p.m. Police assisted first responders for a male having a seizure on the 600 block of Amy Drive.
11:47 p.m. A 42-year-old man reported someone had toilet papered his house and his swimming pool and poured chocolate syrup on his vehicle on the 600 block of Meadow Court. Three female juveniles were found to have created the mess and were taken to the residence to clean it up.
Wednesday, Aug. 6
3:34 p.m. An employee at the Midway BP reported a gas drive-off of $43.71. The vehicle’s owner paid by credit card, but the card was later rejected. The owner was tracked down and agreed to pay.
Thursday, Aug. 7
2:35 p.m. An 11-year-old girl who was cutting through the back yard of a residence on the 1000 block of Packer Drive was bitten by a dog in the yard. She was bitten on both calves.
6:34 p.m. A woman on the 300 block of Hillcrest Drive reported someone stole her son’s bicycle from their driveway.
7:17 p.m. Someone started a fire in each of the softball dugouts at Viking Elementary by burning plastic bottles.

7:48 a.m. A 45-year-old man reported someone damaged his vehicle by shooting an air gun at it while it was parked on the 100 block of Brentwood Lane.
10:17 a.m. A woman left her two small children in her vehicle and left it running while she went into a bank on the 500 block of McHugh Road.
