The town of Onalaska is looking to fill two holes in the town government.
The Onalaska Town Board recently approved advertising to fill the town administrator position left open by the sudden death of Tim Dienger on July 13.
The town board also is looking for a replacement for Jeff Henessee, who won re-election last spring after being appointed to the board the previous spring to fill the seat vacated when Stan Hauser was elected town chairman.
Henessee notified Hauser Aug. 4 that he had taken a new job that would involve traveling and would interfere with attendance at town board meetings. “It is only fair to you that I resign my position as supervisor,” Henessee wrote.
The town is advertising for applicants to fill the town administrator position, with an application deadline of Oct. 1.
The town also is accepting applications to replace Henessee as Supervisor 3 on the board. Candidates must be town residents and should submit a letter of interest and qualifications to Town of Onalaska, W7052 Second Street, Onalaska, WI. 54650 or by e-mail to townofonalaska@charter.net.
Deadline for applicants for the town board opening is Aug. 22.
