The family of 1st Lt. Nick Dewhirst would like to take the opportunity to thank friends, the community, Operation Homefront and the Patriot Guard Riders for their support in our time of sorrow.
We have been overwhelmed by the outpouring of concern, support and understanding during the last two weeks. All the calls, cards, e-mails, visits and hugs have been a great comfort during our grieving process.
We hope to get a personal response to everyone in the near future, but due to the sheer number of contacts this will take a while. Again, we want to thank all of you for your tribute to our son’s memory and ultimate sacrifice for his country.
The letter also was signed on behalf of Chase, Chad, Heather and Evan Dewhirst.
