The following log is based on reports from the Holmen and Onalaska police and fire departments.

Onalaska Police Department

Thursday, July 17

3:09 p.m. — A 32-year-old man on the 500 block of Hickory Street reported someone fraudulently using his debit card for online purchases.

Friday, July 18

12:58 p.m. — A 29-year-old woman reported someone had stolen a jar full of quarters estimated to total about $300 from her home on the 500 block of Court Road.

9:45 p.m. — Two women and one man were arrested as parties to the crime of retail theft after stealing a $25 bottle of liquor from the Festival Foods store in Onalaska. One was a La Crosse woman and the other two parties were from Black River Falls.

Monday, July 21

7:13 p.m. — A 30-year-old Holmen man was arrested for battery after punching his girlfriend at least twice on the face during an argument on the 500 block of Troy Street on June 28.

Tuesday, July 22

11:59 a.m. — A teacher at the Onalaska High School reported her vehicle had been damaged while it was parked in the school parking lot.

6:16 p.m. — A 42-year-old woman was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct and battery after spitting at and punching her boyfriend in the face during an argument at their home on the 400 block of 13th Avenue South.

Wednesday, July 23

12:35 p.m. — An elderly woman at a Bethany Lutheran care facility reported someone had stolen six rings worth about $650 from her jewelry box.

3:33 p.m. — A city worker reported damage to well house No. 10 which was just built. It appeared someone, probably a delivery truck, backed into the north wall.

Thursday, July 24

12:14 a.m. — A 19-year-old man was arrested for possession of marijuana, drug paraphernalia, criminal damage to property and underage drinking after an underage drinking party at a storage unit on Mason Street. A glass pipe and 0.15 ounces of marijuana were in the vehicle. He was uncooperative with police and urinated in the squad car.

1 p.m. — A 16-year-old West Salem girl was arrested for several counts of forgery after writing checks to Wal-Mart, Target, Woodman’s and Kohl’s from a checkbook stolen from an Onalaska home. A 21-year-old Holmen woman was also arrested in conjunction with the theft of the checks and forgery.

3:56 p.m. — A 22-year-old La Crosse man was arrested in conjunction with a theft of a guitar, amplifier, a pedal with switches and guitar cords from a home on the 400 block of 13th Avenue South.

Friday, July 25

9:54 a.m. — A 28-year-old man reported unauthorized bank account withdrawals.

7:56 p.m. — A 47-year-old Holmen woman was arrested for removing almost $400 of merchandise from the Onalaska Wal-Mart without paying for the items.

Saturday, July 19

12:04 p.m. — A 45-year-old man was arrested for using threat of force and bailjumping after threatening physical harm to another man at the Runde Recycling Center.

Monday, July 21

8:30 a.m. — Police received a report of a rattlesnake in a garage on the 1000 block of Deerfield Street. It was a fox snake.

1:30 p.m. — A 36-year-old woman reported a 100-pound plant pot was stolen from her property on the 1000 block of Greenwood Street. It was worth about $100.

2:21 p.m. — An employee of Festival Foods on Holmen Drive was charged with retail theft after cashing in coupons turned in by customers. The coupons amounted to $50.84.

4:07 p.m. — A woman on the 600 block of Amy Drive reported someone had tried to break into her home through the patio door.

Thursday, July 24

10:33 p.m. — Police responded to a complaint at Smokey’s Bar regarding a 25-year-old man who was causing problems and would not leave the premises.

Friday, July 25

3:33 p.m. — Police responded to a report of a woman on the 100 block of Morris Street receiving threats of physical harm via e-mail.

8:18 p.m. — A 23-year-old woman was charged with domestic disorderly conduct in relation to a domestic dispute on the 600 block of Amy Drive.

Saturday, July 26

9:11 a.m. — An 18-year-old man was cited for going 93 mph in 65 mph zone, weaving in and out of traffic and driving with a permit without a valid driver with him while on southbound Highway 53.

10:15 a.m. — A 9-year-old girl was bitten in the face by a dog after trying to pet a dog on the 200 block of Bryan Street.

4:41 p.m. — A woman on the 200 block of Long Coulee Road was given a verbal warning to keep her two dogs quiet.

Sunday, July 27

1:13 a.m. — Police responded to a report of a fire or bonfire behind the daycare center and funeral home on the 600 block of McHugh Road. They found a fire pit that was unattended but contained.

6:23 a.m. — Police assisted the fire department on a report of a deck on the 3500 block of Highway 35 that was smoldering. A smoldering grill was on top of a plastic object. There were no flames.

7 p.m. — A 41-year-old woman reported a bicycle belonging to one of her children had been stolen from the Holmen Aquatic Center. The bike was valued at $300.

Onalaska Fire Department

Tuesday, July 22

10:52 a.m. — Fire and first responder call on East Avenue North and Royal Street for a motor vehicle accident with injuries.

6:45 p.m. — First responder call on East Avenue and Spruce Street for a motor vehicle accident with injuries.

Wednesday, July 23

11:50 a.m. — First responder call on Mason Street for a person injured in a fall.

12:08 p.m. — First responder call on East Avenue North for a person possibly having a stroke.

1:06 p.m. — Fire call on I-90 that was cancelled en route.

1:14 p.m. — First responder call on Streblow Street for a person having a breathing problem.

4:30 p.m. — Fire call on Country Club Lane for a fire detector activation; no fire.

5:44 p.m. — Fire call on Country Club Lane for a fire detector activation but there was no fire.

7:17 p.m. — Fire call on Mason Street to assist police.

Thursday, July 24

4:50 p.m. — First responder call on Gertie Lane for a person with neck pain.

6:25 p.m. — Fire call on Eagle Bluff Court for a person in distress.

7:53 p.m. — First responder call on Riders Club Road for a person in pain.

Friday, July 25

9:37 a.m. — Fire call on Ruth Lane for an alarm system that sounded.

9:15 p.m. — Fire call on Pralle Road for an authorized, controlled burn.

Saturday, July 26

7:35 p.m. — Fire call on Theater Road for an electrical fire.

Sunday, July 27

2:50 a.m. — Fire and first responder calls on Highway B for a motor vehicle accident with injuries.

10:11 a.m. — Fire call on 15th Avenue North for an electrical fire.

8:24 p.m. — First responder call on Highway OS for a person having difficulty breathing.

Monday, July 28

12:56 a.m. — First responder call on Franklin and Streblow street for a person having chest pain.

4:24 p.m. — First responder call on Critter Court for a person experiencing nausea.

6:05 p.m. — First responder call on Market Place for a person involved in a fall.

7:14 p.m. — First responder call on the 200 block of Neitzel Drive for a person with an unknown medical condition.

Monday, July 21

4:25 p.m. — First responder call on the 300 block of Holmen Drive for a motor vehicle accident with injuries

Tuesday, July 22

6:30 p.m. — First responder call on the N8000 block for Highway V for a person with a breathing problem.

Thursday, July 24

11:31 a.m. — First responder call on the N6800 block of Builders Court for a motor vehicle accident with injuries.

2:50 p.m. — First responder call on the 400 block of Neitzel Drive for a person who was ill.

Saturday, July 26

5:49 p.m. — First responder call on the N7100 block of Highway V for a person who was ill.
