I was pleased to hear that Tara Johnson was running for the state Senate in District 32. In her eight years on the La Crosse County Board, she has been a leader and innovator, especially in the area of health and human services. Because of her hard work, frail and elderly adults will have wrap-around services from one place.

Tara asks questions. She does not accept the answer “because that is the way we have always done it.” She looks for innovative and creative ways to solve problems.

Instead of flitting around the edges of the health care problem, she will tackle this very difficult problem and work to bring quality, affordable health care to the people of western Wisconsin.

I am looking forward to voting for Tara Johnson and for new leadership on Nov. 4, and I hope that everyone in the area will consider doing the same. Tara is someone we can be proud of.

" We respectfully disagree. She realizes that those EXTREME LEFT views like Decker, the Daily KOS, and Huffington Post don't play well here in the La Crosse area. It was meant to try and DISTANCE herself from these left wing radicals who are supporting her.

Tara Johnson - Padesky doesn't want people to know she was RECRUITED by a West Coast PAC.

The information provided on http://johnsonwatch08.blogspot.com/ is factually correct. Read ALL the posts and learn what Ms. Johnson is trying to distance herself from. "

" There should be a Johnsonwatch Watch. Trying to make Johnson out as a liar for that "D" thing is just a desperate lie in its own right. "

" The editorial doesn't say she said she's never been a Democrat. It says she never had a "D" after her name. The only people who get a "D" or "R" behind their name are people who run for partisan office. The only political office Johnson has held is a seat on the La Crosse County Board, which is nonpartisan. Therefore, it is true that "there wasn't a "D" behind her name until she ran for Senate."

Nice try, though. "
