Onalaska High School students Sarah Christianson, Nadia Elfessi and Austin Zeng represented the state of Wisconsin at the Future Business Leaders of America National Leadership Conference in Atlanta June 26-29.

These students earned their way to the competition by finishing in the top three at the Wisconsin state competition.

Sarah competed in business communications, Nadia competed in introduction to business communications, and Austin competed in business math. The three students vied for top honors against the winners of all other state competitions.

The competition is part of a program sponsored annually by FBLA, a professional association for students pursuing business careers.

Individuals, local chapters and state teams compete at the conference in events representing a range of business, career and leadership development activities.

Travis Johnson, business education teacher and FBLA adviser at Onalaska High School, accompanied the three students to their national competition in Atlanta.
